Dom’s Business Journey
After years of living overseas and following my spouse’s global career, I pivoted into personal development and life coaching.
My background as a Peace Corps Volunteer and U.S. Diplomat taught me how to serve others, but as an expat, steady work wasn’t always guaranteed—so I turned to entrepreneurship through coaching and speaking.
In South Korea, I built a thriving client base through in-person connections with the local American community. But despite coaching diplomats, executives, and aspiring entrepreneurs, my sales were inconsistent, and my message felt too broad.
I poured my energy into podcasts and videos, but all that content brought little return—just more work. Then 2020 hit, and our move to Australia felt like starting from scratch. The new culture, slower sales, and isolation took their toll.
When the world reopened, I recommitted with a new focus: helping aspiring coaches, speakers, and authors launch their businesses. That clarity changed everything. Clients returned, confidence grew, and my marketing—and income—finally aligned.
I stopped thinking like an employee and started leading like a CEO—and that’s when my business truly took off.
