Give yourself space.
Give yourself an opportunity to grow.
Each expectation we place on ourselves creates pressure.
The pressure to perform.
The pressure to be prepared (always).
The pressure to be perfect.
The pressure to be ok, when we’re not.
The pressure to meet the ‘expectations’ of others, without fulfilling our own needs.
The longer I live, the more I see the need to let go ‘of all the expectations’ that don’t serve us.
As we enter the Thanksgiving Holiday in the US, and to my fellow Americans overseas…please give yourself grace to just be present, to be yourself, to be grateful for another day and another opportunity to be a positive human in the world.
